Irene Kauma Kisaka

Irene is an Undersecretary/Senior Private Secretary to the First Lady and the Minister of Education and Sports in the Government of Uganda.

She has worked with the Government of Uganda for 24 years. She joined Government as an Immigration officer with the Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration control and rose through the ranks to the level of Principal Immigration Officer. In 2008 she was appointed to head the National Identity card project in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. After 14 years she left the Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control to work for the First Lady as her Principal Assistant, a job she has done for the last ten years. Six of these at the Office of the Prime Minister where the First Lady served as the Minister for Karamoja Affairs in the Office of the Prime Minister and now at the Ministry of Education and Sports.  

She is passionate about empowering leaders and has undertaken several leadership studies including a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Uganda Christian University, Mukono and a Master of Arts in Public Administration and Management from Makerere University.

She is an Alumnus of the Haggai Advanced Leadership Institute in Hawaii, the Institute for National Transformation Uganda, Destiny Consult, Development Associates International (DAI), Sundulous Africa Leadership Training (SALT), and Africa Kingdom Business Forum (AKBF). She has also facilitated leadership studies at the same Institutions.  

Irene excels as an efficient administrator and she enjoys work with Young Professionals seeking to create platforms for Christians in the work place to fellowship, pray together and be equipped to serve with excellence and integrity.

She is married to Simon Kisaka since July 2011. She fellowships with Deliverance Church, Makerere Hill, where she serves as a Deacon.
