Emmanuel Osanga

Emmanuel Osanga is an experienced professional (19+ years) in the area of Data Management, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence and Information Systems with Degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Makerere University Uganda.

A Data Evangelist who has developed and implemented Data Strategies in Financial Services Sector in more than 15 countries within Africa and I have lived and worked in Uganda, Nigeria and South Africa. 

Implemented the very first Biometric authentication banking system in East Africa for Pride Microfinance Uganda to ensure financial services are extended to the poor and underprivileged deploying it with a complete core banking system within a record 2 years. 

I have been extensively involved in several major systems implementation programmes within Standard Bank Group across Africa. Designed a Management Information System and Reporting Frameworks for Stanbic IBTC Bank Nigeria in their Core Banking System (Finacle) deployed in more 14 countries.

Developed and Implemented Data Governance, Data Strategy and Data Operating Model Frameworks for Standard Bank within Africa Regions helping more than 14 Countries to Implement.

Passionate about developing future skills and as a result I initiated a Data Science Pipeline Programme in Standard Bank Group Africa that has been running since 2017 and have also been instrumental in shifting the data analytics culture.  

I have invested in several technology start-ups in Africa serving in their advisory board as a mentor in Uganda, Nigeria and South Africa, currently serving in the Elder’s Board of Frontline Church South Africa.

I am Married to Esther with who we have three brilliant daughters, my Life objective is to add value in every encounter serving people while building life time relationships and enabling them to connect with their purposes and destinies.
